NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools and colleges. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The motto of NCC is "Unity and Discipline" (Wikipedia).

The College has two NCC wings. One of male student cadets under the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC comprising 50 male cadets and one of female student cadets under the 71 Tripura Girls (I) Coy, NCC comprising 69 female cadets. At present Dr. Dipak Kumar Sarkar, Assistant Professor in History is acting as Cadet Training Officer of the male wing. Smt, Jhumli Debbarma, Post Graduate Teacher in Geography is acting as Cadet Training Officer of the female wing. Regular NCC parades and various activities are carried out by these wings.
